| The Tibetan information processing is importance of all of society China's political, economic and cultural with the rapid development of information technology, so it had been attended. Using computers and computer networks to collection and transmission, processing, storage and exchange of a lot of information in the every walks of life, it brought huge benefits for social development. Based on actuality of now developed software and Tibetan information processing, this paper discuss to carry out a suit of Tibetan office software according to principle of software localization. OpenOffice.org is the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers. It stores all your data in an international open standard format and can also read and write files from other common office software packages. It can be downloaded and used completely free of charge for any purpose. The first chapter includes the foreword and the structure of thesis. The second chapter introduces Mainly on international and Tibetan localization of the basic concepts, analysis of the software market requirements and development of technology, funds and significance, as well as the advantages of localization; The third chapter introduced basic conception and characteristic of Tibetan character. The fourth chapter introduced OpenOffice.org history, features and key technology.
