Research Of Diverse Reminders In Business Process

With the development of computer and Internet, office automation has been popularized. In the business process management system with long process or more roles, the function of reminders becomes particularly important. Reminder is the function that the system can automatically send a message to remind the user if he hasn’t finished the work before the deadline. Although reminder is very important, it didn’t get enough attention. So the phenomenon that the follow-up work cannot be carried out due to the delay of previous work is very common. In addition, the form of reminder is single and there are no diverse reminders to choose according to the different urgency or the time limit of the activity in process. That is to say, activity with different urgency should choose different reminders with different frequency and different ways to remind. To solve the above problem, this paper has carried out the relevant research of diverse reminders. The word diverse refers to the diversity of reminder types and the diversity of the implementation of reminder.This paper adds the diverse reminders into the business process management, and puts forward a model of diverse reminders, the relevant algorithm, three implementation ways which is system message. Email and short message. The implementation ways of reminder, of course, is more than these three ways. You can add new implementation ways according to the requirement or delete some implementation ways which is not applicable. And that is the means of the diversity of the implementation of reminder. This paper use XML to describe the model of reminders and the definition of the reminder types. So there is no need to change the code if the business process, time limit of activity or the type of reminder changes, which can be realized by modifying the XML file. In addition, the type of reminder, the time interval and the implementation way of reminder can be customized as required.In this paper, the diverse reminders have been applied to the project audit process in the important project equipment purchase system of Ocean University of China, which ensured the smooth of the project audit process and significantly improved the work efficiency.
