As is well-known that the existing telecommunications optical transport network structure is based on IP/WDM or IP/OTN/WDM. However, the traditional optical transport network has a serious defect that is poor fusion between layers, resulting in the insufficient network flexibility and inconvenience of network management and control. But programmable characteristics and openness of the system structure of SDN can well solve the above problem. Through apply SDN architecture to existing telecommunications optical transport network POTN, combine the centralization intelligent control of the SDN and telecommunication level reliability, end-to-end Qos guarantee of POTN to construct a new network architecture(Super POTN), which can realize simplify network operations, support the network fully open and achieve the value-increasing application and development of the network.This paper will consider the OpenDaylight-based SDN framework and its application to design and implementation of POTN telecommunications network planning and management as the direction of research, mainly studies the following three aspects:Firstly, Super POTN software defined network framework design, combining SDN concept and mature POTN network architecture of operators to form a new network architecture(Super POTN) which separate the network control plane and forwarding plane, intensively control network logical function and make the software to control whole network;Secondly, design and implementation of Super POTN north interface, beginning with considering the requirements to meet the overall structure of the north interface design, detailedly analyzing the functional requirements of the north interface and defining the form of each individual interface command in topology management, resource management, tunnel business management and Eline business management;Thirdly, planning and design of business multilayer grooming in Super POTN data forwarding plane, designing a set of relatively complete multilayer grooming planning, including business multi-layer grooming, the shortest routing algorithm in multiple constraints cases and wavelength convergence-based wavelength allocation algorithm.Through the cooperation with a large domestic communication enterprise, the above study has been achieved and developed a corresponding network planning system, the algorithm simulation also reflect the preferable results. The AMCRA(A*_Based Multi-Condition Routing Algorithm) and WFBWA(Wavelength Fusion Based Wavelength Allocation Algorithm) both have good network performance in the aspects of traffic throughput and bandwidth resource utilization.
