As the capacity of multi-layer multi-domain optical network is huge,network failures will cause catastrophic consequences and a large amount of business interruption.Therefore,the research of survivability is important.Recovery technology is important part of survivability technique and its main thought is calculating route for failure business dynamically.The nature of grooming technology is to pack low-speed traffic connection requests onto high-speed wavelength channels by using available resources of built light paths.The recovery technology and grooming technology can be combined due to the similarity.The study of traffic grooming mainly concentrates in the single domain which can't apply to the Inter-domain requests in multi-domain network nowadays.In addition,people usually focus on the solution of lack of inter-domain topology information when considering multi-domain network failure recovery before without considering hierarchy of IP over WDM network.Therefore,this thesis investigates multi-layer multi-domain recovery algorithm of multi-layer multi-domain optical network.This thesis designs a new inter-domain grooming algorithm and combines it with network survivability technology.A new failure recovery algorithm against four kinds of network failures include of router failure,OXC failure,optical fiber failure and mixed failure is proposed.The new recovery algorithm can improve the failure recovery rate and utilization rate of resources in multi-layer multi-domain optical network.First of all,a new network model is designed to abstract the multi-layer multi-domain network topology and survivability problem.On this basis,coordination algorithm between IP layer and WDM layer(CABL)is proposed.Secondly,in view of inter-domain business,the inter-domain grooming algorithm(IDGA)is designed.Thirdly,combining survivability technology with CABL,this thesis addresses coordination recovery algorithm between layers(ICRA)to reach a balance between business QoS and expense.Finally,in view of the lack of network topology information and the complexity of the allocation of resources in multi-domain network,this thesis designs new multi-domain multi-layer recovery algorithm(MMRA).This thesis designs four experiments to simulate the proposed algorithms and analysis the experimental data to test the performance.Experiment 1 compares the performance of ICRA,IP layer recovery algorithm and WDM layer recovery algorithm with the increase of load.The simulation results indicate that ICRA performs better than single layer recovery.Experiment 2 compares the performance of MMRA,inter-domain IP layer recovery algorithm and inter-domain WDM layer recovery algorithm with the increase of load.In order to verify the superiority MMRA performance is,experiment 3 analyzes the performance of MMRA with the increase of rate of failure.In order to verify the stability of the algorithm,experiment 4 designed two experiments to evaluate the influence of network topology and network configuration to MMRA.The final simulation results indicate that MMRA has a stable and excellent performance,which can maintain low blocking rate,high recovery rate and resource utilization,and short average recovery time.
