The applications have emerged in the context of the rapid evolution in mobile devices and cloud computing technologies,both of which bring higher loads and new dynamics of traffic to backbone networks.The Wavelength Division Multiplexing(WDM)technology to carry the IP services has become the core technology of the next-generation backbone network.However,WDM technology is no longer able to meet the increasing bandwidth requirement.In order to solve this problem,the IP over elastic optical networks(EON)architecture is the mainstream development direction of future communications.Meanwhile,Due to the diversity of IP layer bandwidth and the increase of optical channel capacity,there is a serious mismatch between “traffic flow and optical flow”,which leads to the waste of network resources.Therefore,it is important for optical layer to cooperate with the IP layer and to configure optical resources adaptively for coping with the changes in IP traffic.To solve the above problems,the traffic grooming technology which combines different type of multiple low rate traffic flow to a high-speed optical channel for transmission,can effectively solve the problem of low speed data flow between the optical channel with large capacity adaptation problems,improve the utilization of network bandwidth resources,and optimize network performance.Therefore,in the process of cross-layer routing and spectrum resource allocation in IP over EON,the introduction of traffic grooming technology can realize the joint optimization of network resources.At present,with the rapid growth of data services,the energy consumption problem of the network is becoming more and more prominent.And physical impairments in optical networks are the main factor affecting the quality of signal transmission.In this paper,the transmission quality requirements of the business in the process of traffic diversion are discussed,and in the network environment with multi-parameter constraints of energy consumption and damage,deeply research the business connection to provide the problem,from the network global point of view to the network traffic,in order to ensure the business transmission quality,reduce the network energy consumption and the blocking rate,enhance the utilization of spectrum resources,designed to increase network traffic performance from multiple objectives.The main research achievements are as following:(1)Under the background of IP over EON network,this paper mainly focuses on spectrum resource optimization in traffic grooming.A Cross-layer routing spectrum allocation(CL-RSA)algorithm based on topology integration and modulation format adaptation is proposed,which can merging the physical topology with the virtual topology and using the method of minimum-weight of priority for route selection.It realizes the use of existing virtual links and building the new light paths to carry the traffic on the network.Specifically,the integration topology is superimposed of physical topology layer and virtual topology layer.Meanwhile,the effect of physical-layer impairments(PLI)on signal transmission is considered.In addition,the adaptive modulation scheme is used to allocate the spectrum resource.In this way,it satisfies the demand of quality of transmission(QoT)for the transmission quality of the business,reduces the network blocking rate,and improves the utilization rate of network resources.(2)The energy consumption and physical damage of optical layer in IP over EON network are studied.Through the analysis of energy consumption parameters and physical impairments link model in cross-layer network.Based on the analysis of energy consumption parameters and physical impairments link models in cross layer networks,a state assessment model of damage energy consumption integrated link is designed.Physical impairments and energy consumption are used as an effective basis to judge the state of network resources,and the method of energy efficient selection is carried out by using the method of minimum weight priority.(3)Under the background of IP over EON network,energy consumption optimization is mainly focused on traffic grooming.The constraint effect of physical impairments and energy consumption factors on the network is considered.Based on the established link state evaluation model,an RSA algorithm for energy consumption and multi-parameter constraint is designed.The algorithm uses the energy consumption and impairments as a multi-parameter constrained condition while routing,and estimates the QoT at each node in the selected path to determine whether it satisfies the transmission needs and guarantees the quality of service(QoS)while reducing network energy consumption.
