RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technology is a kind of automatic identification technology which uses radio frequency signal as the information carrier, it can get the information of objects quickly and without touching them. RFID technology is comprehensive, it involves a variety of fields such as computer technology, microelectronic technology, communication technology and so on. RFID technology has a long service life, far distance, large data capacity and many other advantages. At present, RFID technology is in the progress of rapid development and has broad application prospect in the social life. With the promotion of RFID technology, users have higher requirement for the property, function and cost of the RFID products. So, how to design high performance, low cost and powerful RFID product is a urgent problem which need to be focused on in the current research of the RFID system application design.RFID reader is an important part of the RFID system. The design and implement method of a new kind of RFID reader is described in this thesis. Its content includes following aspects:1.Combined with the situation of the RFID technology researching in and abroad, the basic construction and theory of the RFID system, especially the overview, framework and design opinion of the RFID reader are elaborated in this thesis.2.CET632 is a new kind of RFID radio frequency ASIC. It is selected as the designing scheme. CET632 is the core of the radio frequency module of the RFID reader. The designing work of the radio frequency module is composed of the designing of the EMC circuit, radio frequency signal transmit and receive circuit of the radio frequency module. In addition, the circuit designing, parameters calculating and adjusting of the RFID antenna are also described in this thesis.3.The embedded system based on the Cortex-M3 SMT32 MCU is discussed in this thesis. The problem of how to use this MCU to design hardware and software is discussed. The character and usage of the resources on the MCU are analyzed. On this basis, the design method of the reader’s host system which is composed STM32 MCU is described. The design of the host system is composed of hardware design, radio frequency model control program design and data communication program design.4.ISO/IEC 14443 and ISO/IEC 15693 are the communication protocol of the 13.56 MHz RFID system. The signal transmission, coded system and anticollision of the communication protocol is analyzed. The problem of how to execute the communication protocol through the embedded software is discussed. Meanwhile, the design of the software program related to the communication protocol is given.5.Two kinds of electronic tag(Mifare S50 and I CODE 2) are selected as samples. The data storage form, control process and command of the electronic tag is analyzed. The implement of the electronic tag’s control command by the embedded software is given.Above all, through the designing of the hardware circuit and software program, the RFID reader based on CET632 is accomplished. The reader is according to the goal. Its performance is stable and the cost is low.
