| With the development of modern-internal combustion engines, traditional turbocharging technology cannot meet the requirements such as high-pressure ratio, improved accelerating performance, increasing low speed torque and the strict emissions regulations. It is necessary to develop the technology of advanced turbocharging matching. The development of the technology of regulated 2-stage system, the variable geometry turbocharger(VGT) and the exhaust gas recirculation system(EGR) will be effective in improving the diesel engine power, economy and emissions performances. But some engine simulation software has not the computing functions of modern internal combustion engine turbocharger matching. In response to this situation, this thesis develops a modern internal combustion engine turbocharger match software based on Power Builder software and Oracle database. The software is able to achieve effective calculation in the various stages of turbocharging matching for the modern internal combustion engines, at the same time, it makes modern internal combustion engines turbocharger match tend to be more accurate and efficient.The thesis researched on matching of modern internal combustion engines and turbochargers, with computer-aided methods to achieve engines turbocharger match for different types and uses. The thesis carried on the research on the modern internal combustion engine turbocharger matching technology with advanced turbocharging system such as the variable geometry turbocharger(VGT) system, the regulated 2-stage system, and advanced emission control system such as the after-treatment device and the exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) system. A modern internal combustion engine match turbocharger software has been developed. The software can provide professional technical support for turbocharging matching in the stages of simulation models building, turbocharger parameters determination, the overall performances simulation, and the performances experiments. It also improves turbocharger matching methods and reduces the work of simulations and tests. Modern internal engine turbocharger matching can be faster, more efficient and accurate with the software. A simulation of a modern diesel engine with an advanced turbocharging system was done using this matching software, the calculation results and the experimental data agreed well. So this software can effectively match suitable turbochargers for modern internal engines. |
