After CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology has already been applied to the trade of manufacturing industry, Enterprises are not satisfied with CAD and introduce CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) technology to product development more and more. CAE has become key technology which can improve the innovative ability of today's enterprises, improve product development ability and strengthen competitive power that enterprises fit market demand. In this situation, we think that only strengthening the technological innovation and adopting CAE technology could guarantee the considerable development of the enterprise.This paper proposed a specific application report of CAE technology based on the power transmission system of internal combustion forklifts combining the theory research with CAE technology. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Studying the particularity of the power transmission system of internal combustion forklifts.(2)With the finite element method, modeling the power transmission system of internal combustion forklifts in Pro/ENGINEER environment; Meanwhile, simplifying the model without affecting the analysis accuracy.(3)Analyzing surface strength and fatigue on the power transmission system of internal combustion forklifts, with the method combing theoretical calculation and computer simulation using the particularity of seamless integration of Pro/ENGINEER and MECHANICA. The results show that theoretical calculation and computer simulation results are consistent.(4)Optimizing the vibration damping system, studying on theory and computer simulation and providing actual improvement suggestion.This paper studied the power transmission system of internal combustion forklifts with the method combing theoretical study and computer simulation. This work can not only shorten the development time for the optimization design, but also provides the foundation for future deeper research on the power transmission system.
