Since the increasing development of one airline in recent years in fleet scale and the number of staff, it results in a great inconvenience for staff to eat, at the same time, it increases the difficulty for ordering dishes and the low efficiency in Pass-through of dishes. And according to the industrial diversification development plan of the airline market, such as developing catering industry, founding the food and beverage market and setting up aviation hotel restaurant companies etc., it becomes an emergency task to establish the information management system for catering industry. Up to date, the traditional, low efficiency, manual accounting methods is used to collect and deal with the increasing amount of data still. It will cause: 1) more personnel demand, 2) low efficiency for employees to order a meal, 3) inconvenience for restaurant management. Up to date, there are many different types of catering management information system, which accelerate the development of catering business and improve the work efficiency of catering enterprises.Based on Client/Server(C/S) mode hardware system with advanced ADO database access technology, a catering management information system is proposed for the airline catering system in this paper. This paper describes the C/S mode works architecture and implementation methods, and in accordance with the design principles and operational capabilities of the database, the database needs were food and beverage management system analysis, design and complete the establishment of the data. By catering management information system design and implementation process to understand the system’s overall situation, and to achieve a good system features a detailed test and test structures were analyzed. The paper on the implementation process functional modules are described in detail.Study of this system is expected to achieve the following objectives: 1. and table management system login basic functions: user login, cashier checkout, customer reservations, membership management, inventory management, catering daily workflow;2. information operations query functions: table business chart real-time display of the current status of the customer dining situation on the desktop, including point sets, a la carte, by Choi, retired dishes operation; 3. report management functions: to achieve sales data query, statistics, analysis, daily beginning May knot operation; 4. diversified management features: such as discount management, table management, attendance management, shift management; 5.the system management functions: including user passwords, operating authority, table information, management of consumer information and provide reliable security mechanisms for data backup and data cleaning function.These functional modules basically meet the demand for restaurant food and beverage management, improve the quality of service restaurant to achieve a predetermined, query, statistics, management and other functions, to establish a scientific management system, improve the efficiency of the restaurant’s customer service possible. The system is by design, coding and debugging, run properly.
