Design And Implementation Of Haitian Hotel Room Management System

With the development of social economy and the popularity of information technology, the competition among hotels is heating up. To win in the fierce competition, hotels have to strengthen the development of information technology and develop its own management standard to make its profits and improve its management. The profits of the ccommodation accounts for a large amount of the whole hotel’s, which makes the the hotel room management system become one of the essential parts in the hotel management, Management based on information can standardize the its implementation and improve the efficiency as well.Some of the present hotel management systems are inexpensive but too simple in function, Some are complicated in function but expensive, some are not perfect in the design of the construction which will call for much money on modification and extension. Haitian Hotel is a medium-sized hotel built recently, so it is urgent to develop the management system which is stable in operation, reasonable in price, comprehensive in function and easy to use, modify and improve. That of Object Oriented is a trend of the development method. It focuses on the design of class and makes it possible to to repeatedly use the software, to modify and improve the software. The design idea of 3-layers archetecture is popular in this field. The three layers of the application program refer to expression layer, logic layer and data-access layer. As each layer has its own funtion and the three are co-related, it can improve the efficiency and the possibility of repeatedly applying, transplanting and extending the software. Most of all, it is much less difficult for the system maintenance C# is a kind of program language of Object Orientd created by Mircosoft, which is simple in grammar and easy to understand and make programing.This paper takes of Haitian Hotel—one of medium-sized hotel in China as the example, and studies the development of information system after considering the cost of system development, the restraint and maintenance of deadline for a project and the requirements of improvement. On the basis of server model, the management system for the hotel room is developed by means of the Object Oriented, by adopting the design of 3-layers architecture based on NET and by making use of the development tool of Visual C# 2013 and SQL Server Database, makes models by means of UML 2.0 during the stage of analysis and design, finally, we can develop a management system with strong practicability, higher stability and possible maintainability. In the end, the paper proves that the C/S development model based on 3- layers architecture is practical and efficient in the management system for the hotel room and the management for the whole hotel. What’s more, it can provide suggestion for the development of information system for other medium-sized hotels in China.
