| With the rapid development of China’s information construction, managementinformation systems are used in all kinds of industries, especially used in the serviceindustries. At present, the domestic hotel management software mainly is developed forconditional or large hotels. It is not fit for small and medium sized hotels, and is generallyexpensive. Many of small and medium sized hotels due to fund and staff have not beenused hotel management software. They depended on the original manual record andmanagement, which is inefficient and error-prone. Therefore, developing the cheaper, easyto use and full-featured management system for small and medium sized hotels isnecessary.This system is a Windows Forms application system that uses the object-orientedlanguage C#, bases on.NET platform, uses C/S structure, applies for Microsoft VisualStudio2010development tools, uses three-layer（presentation layer, business logic layer,data access layer）development framework and uses SQL Server2008database server.This paper describes demand analysis, functional module division, database design anddesign, implementation and testing of major functional modules of the managementsystem. The management system mainly includes three functional modules which arebasic information set, room management and query operation. Basic information set iscomposed by the room type set, floor set, customer type set, room set and operator set.Room management is composed by the room reservation, customer check-in and customercheck-out. Query operation is composed by the hotel overview query and customercheck-in history query.Using this system to handle hotel room business can provide a strong backgroundsupport for hotel room management. The system can effectively avoid such phenomenathat documents filled out by hand were inefficient, time-consuming and error-prone. Italso can improve the efficiency of the hotel management. Therefore hotel can obtaingreater economic benefits. |
