Since 2000, various grass-root shows have appeared and swept across the world. Grass-root shows has become an ace card that every television station holds up their sleeve to compete for the high ratings since they break away of the limits of news items and documentaries that are supposed to be real and of TV plays that are considered to be fictions. To meet audiences’ constant changing needs and tastes, grass-root shows have seen big changes in forms, principles and means of transmission. More and more grass-root shows tend to put more emphasis on their own entertained and instructive function, not only creating a relaxing atmosphere for the audience, but also conveying Chinese traditional cultures and value systems in an entertaining while instructive way.Audience as the center to the grass-root show makes the audience to accept education in entertainment, take pleasure in education, and become a kind of new practice of the integration of education and entertainment. While traditional education for a long time and is still the main mode of spread of education. However, the draft program of entertainment, education can make up for the shortcomings of traditional education, the effective integration of entertainment and education, can greatly stimulate learners’ interest and initiative to improve learning efficiency. It can be boring knowledge becomes vivid, easier to accept.On the basis of the relevant research literature analysis at home and abroad, this paper analyze the grass-root show from the perspective of entertainment-education for the first time, explore the internal communication mechanism of these grass-root show’s Entertainment education. At the same time, respectively through in-depth interviews and questionnaires on the “Chinese Character dictation Contest” and "Where Are We Dad Going?" two program as the research object of independent study, communication application effect is analyzed. On the basis of the study, the author puts forward the improving countermeasures of grass-root show entertainment-education dissemination effect: First, the personalized communication strategy effectively integrated into the show; second is to promote participatory entertainment education mode of transmission; third is to enhance the entertainment and education effective integration; four is to take the road of localization and strengthen innovation.
