With the rapid development of China’s power industry and the depth of the electricity reform, as well as information technology, the strategy “information technology to stimulate industrialization” is becoming the inevitable trend of development of power industry, also the only way to self-improvement for electric power enterprises under the increasingly fierce market competition and the increasingly serious environmental protection pressure. During the years of exploration and practice of information technology, the domestic power industry has experienced a transform from Distributed Control System to the foreign Manufacturing Excution System concept, then to today’s popular Supervisory Information System which is more suitable for domestic power plants, and the information control and analysis technology is quite mature. However, the factory-level real-time monitoring system adapted to large and medium sized power plants, like SIS, cannot be applied in small thermoelectric companies like Huaneng Company, which has small installed capacity,dispersed plants and equipments of various types. Therefore, this study in this paper aims at an information integration platform suitable for this kind of thermoelectric plants on the basis of reference.The real-time monitoring and analysis system is the critical part of digital power plant construction for Huaneng Corporation, which contains the two-level information platform based on the existing Gigabit Ethernet ring network, DCS, PLC, and other control systems. Via the OPC interface technology, it collects the information from all distributed control systems and deposits it to the real/historical database, to calculate and analysis the substantive information on use of various functional modules. This system realizes the data acquisition and application integration by unifying OPC standard interfece for the existed operationg control systems; using real-time database technology formed data warehouse including the data from electrical integrated automaion system, thermal control system, chemiacal water treatment system, electrostatic precipitator etc, which saves funds consumpation for data accessing efficiently; realizing data monitoring, abnormal alarming,analyzing and forecasting functions by developing performance calculation moduels, which boasts the monitoring effiency of operating personnel.The establishment of the system basically meets the need for intelligent management and control of small-scale thermoelectric plants, eliminates the information gap between the underlying field control and the upper managing layer, and achieves the processing control and information management integrated on network.The real-time monitoring and analysis system will be improved based on the actual needs of the power plants in later, especially the adjustment of function modules, to achieve the security, real-time, and accuracy of information processing.
