Study On Countermeasure Of Our Government For Micro-blogging Rumors

With the continuous development of China’s Internet, micro-blogging became a new kind of information media. Micro-blogging provides the convenience for the dissemination of information in people’s daily life, which also become a hotbed of rumors. Compared with the traditional rumors, micro-blogging rumor is the same in essence. As a new form of rumors, there are many differences in the social influence on the propagation characteristics. As rumors, micro-blogging consists of the true and false rumors. The true micro-blogging rumors can be seen as some kind of public expression, it provides a positive effect for the promotion of government and social reform; otherwise, the false micro-blogging rumors may cause confusion in the public thinking and social instability. In view of this, coping micro-blogging rumor should become an important task for the government management.On the basis of other scholars’ research about the rumors and administrative management research perspective, this paper conducts the research of strategies which government should conduct for micro-blogging rumors by literature and case study research method. Through the analysis of problems and causes exist in the process of government deal with micro-blogging rumors, which the problems include the government processing awareness is weak, handling is incorrect, relevant laws and regulations are not perfect, monitoring is not enough, and the management linkage mechanism is lack. This paper presents reasonable proposals, in order to respond rationally and effectively reference for the government deal with micro-blogging rumors. The proposals include that promoting the awareness of response micro-blogging rumors, improving relevant legal system, setting up the technology systems and joint management mechanism, and enhancing the ability to prevent micro-blogging rumors of the whole community.
