the project takes the development of ship equipment management information system in Shengli Oilfield offshore ships for example, analyzes the present situation of the development of the domestic and foreign ship equipment management information system. The key technology needed by the development of this topic is introduced. In addition, the development of the modular design of the system and the key component design is analyzed deeply.This System mainly aims ship equipment management thinking of the condition of the Shengli Oilfield offshore ships,explains why we need to develop the ship equipment management informaition system,and how to design and implement the ship equipment management information system.The main function module of the information system design includes: spare parts management, work order management, repair and maintenance management, crew management, voyage management, ship information management and so on. Each function module performs its specific function. Ship equipment management information system researched by the project uses open systems interworking and modularization design. It not only applies basic principles of system engineering but also adopts structure made by the system combined with C/S and B/S structure model to meet the needs of different engineering applications. The C/S and B/S part of the system function is realized, at the same time, the security of the system is evaluated and analyzed.In the process of developing, system applies open system architecture and modular design system that can reduce the system operating and maintenance costs and accelerate the development process, enhance system flexibility, and enhance the possibility of new technology in the future to enhance the maintainability of the system. Finally, the research work is summarized and the existing problem and insufficiency is analyzed, in order to achieve more perfect system of ship equipment management system and extensively used in engineering.
