As telecom companies pay more attention to customer experience, the long-term stablerunning of telecommunication equipment, which relies on excellent operation and maintenance mechanisms, becomes more and more important. However, in domestic telecommunications industry, the management functions of the equipment operation and maintenance are still not perfectat present. For example, the fault sources can not be located effectively, and the equipment monitoring indicators of the existing systems are not comprehensive enough. This has resulted in the operation and maintenance personnel encounter many difficulties in troubleshooting and system condition analysis.In the paper, an operation and maintenance management platform(OMMP),which is a kind of software of automatically maintaining telecommunication equipments, is designed and developed to solve these problems. Using Gearman distributing architecture, the overall system of the OMMP is divided by function into three subsystems: Web front-end display, active monitoring and task operation, among which socket.io is adopted to communicate with each other. In web front-end display subsystem, the mainstream software architecture pattern of MVC and the technology of Struts2+Spring+iBatis are applied to link up each software layer. Meanwhile, the Ajax technology in jQuery is used to realize asynchronous data operation. In both subsystems of active monitoring and task operating, the using of JavaScript on Node.js greatly improves the concurrence of the OMMP. The Web Client of the OMMP can be used to configure the other two subsystems and provide comprehensive and detailed monitoring data for the operation and maintenance personnel. It can also be applied to formulate the task execution cycle, so as to improve automation degree of daily operation and maintenance.The OMMP can monitor and manage different types of systems and equipmentsvia multiple external interfaces it provides, no longer subjecting to the restriction of specific system types and models. This conforms to the development situation of China’s telecom industry. The platform has high maintainability and operability. Besides, the graphic monitoring interface provides excellent user experience, making the data analysis and judgement easier for maintainers.
