With the development of radio and television technology, for radio station, the quantity of broadcast audio signal is increasing, for audience, they have put forward higher requirement for audio quality and performance,Radio administration ask radio station to monitor and analysis audio signal in real time, so manual monitoring alone can not meet the requirement, based on these considerations, to design an audio signal monitoring system that can analysis audio signal and automatic alarm in real-time have important meaning for radio station.Currently, most audio monitoring system is mainly focused on distributed monitoring and commom parameters measuring, but the monitoring parameters are not considered human subjective and those monitoring system is not easy to build monitoring network. In this paper we combined with computer communication technology and audio signal processing technology, then implement an audio signal monitoring system. The monitoring system introduces loudness monitoring which relevent to human ear listening experience and enables distributed and centralized monitoring audio signal. The main work and innovations are as following:1.The overall design of the audio monitoring system. In this paper, after analysis common audio monitoring system design, combined with monitoring audio、monitoring parameters and application environment, we proposed an audio monitoring system design scheme based on embedded system, the design scheme can achieve local and remote real-time monitoring functions for audio signal.2.The hardware circuit design of the audio monitoring system. The monitoring system’s hardware circuit design include audio capture module、audio measurement module、system control module and Ethernet interface module. In audio capture module, we select ASIC to implement analog audio capture and digital audio’s pre-processing and data capture. In Ethernet interface module, we select integrated MAC+PHY Ethernet chip to make audio monitoring system access to Ethernet network. In audio measurement module, we implement to real-time measurement and analysis audio parameter by DSP. In the system control module, we implement to real-time control all modules by ARM.3.The software programming design of the audio monitoring system. Software program designe is used to achieve audio measurement and system control. Audio measurement module’s program can measurement and analysis the amplitude、phase and loudness of audio signal in real-time. In system control module, we transplant embedded operating system and development audio capture module driver and Ethernet interface module driver, at finally achieve audio signal parameters and status monitoring in the way of network.Through the above design,the paper presents an audio signal monitoring system which can measurement and analysis the amplitude、phase、loudness and channel state of the broadcast analog audio signal and digital audio signal in real-time, the monitoring system can also automatic alarm to audio error statue, at finally, we implement audio signal’s local monitoring and remote monitoring with the help of monitoring terminal.
