The mobile operators are faced with new challenges owing to the evolution of mobile communications technology and the emergence of LTE(Long Term Evolution). As the base stations and data services beared integrated platform, Basic optical network has been in the spotlight from the major mobile operators on covering scale, transmission capacity, security, robustness, advanced, applicability and other aspects of the capability.When LTE technology has been in large-scale using, because of its technical characteristics, the basic optical network of the major mobile operators also need a corresponding change to to adapt to the demands of new technologies. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of LTE technology, combining technology and network status of different major operators, sub-scenarios for LTE era cable network problems that may be encountered are analyzed and discussed. The main work includes:Firstly, characteristics of LTE technology and network frameworkframework analysis, including OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), carrier aggregation and other core technologies outdoor macro base stations and indoor coverage distance and the number of micro-stations, etc. on this basis,discussing the influence of cable networks may face;Secondly, Through the analysis of the current situation of the development of the three major operators optical cable network,which include the China Telecom,the China Mobile and the China Unicom, put forward LTE technology smooth access issues to be considered;Thirdly, analysis of the network optimization and access solution on trunk optical cable and access optical cable, summed up in the face of a variety of fiber optic cable network environment optional LTE coverage optimization ideas and solutions.Intuitively, this paper can provide a reference for the construction of the China Telecom, the China Mobile and the China Unicom and other major mobile operators.
