The 4th Generation Mobile Communication(4G) has been commercially deployed in China. The IP/MPLS based IP Wireless Access Network(IPRAN) is a primary optical transport network solution for China Telecom, which adapting various service environment scenarios with good operation, administration, maintanence, and synchronous performance, etc. This thesis presents a comprehensive research on IPRAN based 4G hybrid networking technology and its application in Jiangxi Telecom.Firstly, a brief introducion of IPRAN is presented including principles and key techniques. Then, some supporting mechanisms for enhancing service awareness are analyzed, followed by IPRAN networking technologies. Finally, a practical IPRAN based 4G hybrid networking scheme is proposed for Jiangxi Telecom 4G networks.
