The mobile core network plays an important role in the whole mobile communication network. As the key node for voice and data processing, the security and reliability of the core network determine whether the whole communication network can operate normally or not. How to ensure the safe operation of the network elements becomes the focus of the system construction about the network disaster recovery. MSC POOL technology has the features like network-level automatic real-time redundancy backup mechanism and automatic business equilibrium. This thesis designs and implements the Changsha Unicom mobile core network based on the MSC POOL technology.According to the operating data of the switch port utilization, VLR utilization and the interconnection, this thesis analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the circuit domain, signaling network, interconnection of Changsha Unicom core network. By analyzing and forecasting the whole business and the business in the Festival Holiday, we find that some problems, such as the traffic fluctuates are bigger in the Festival Holiday, circuit and route are changed frequently, the businesses of urban and suburban have big gap, the MSC Server traffic in main zone of Changsha is large.Combined with the current situation of Changsha Unicom core network, this thesis designs the core network plan based on the MSC POOL, including signaling routing, traffic routing, billing and management. The reasonable backup solution plan is given. This plan connects the MSC Server with the MGW, all the MSC Servers use chain backup method, no dedicated centralized backup MSC Server is set. In this way, automatic recovery can be realized and the resource utilization is improved.The MSC POOL plan of Changsha Unicom core network is realized. The detail of implementation process is presented and the test plan is designed. We have tested the circuit switched fallback of voice, supplementary service, voice service request, the success rate of inter agency call, and the recovery of MSC POOL. The test results show that all the indicators can meet the requirements of Changsha Unicom Group. When single MSC Server breaks down, the other network elements can share all the services automatically, and the real-time and effectiveness of disaster recovery is verified.
