The Design And Realization Of Number Portability For Jiangxi Telecom Corporation

With the development of the telecom network and the customer’s requirement of telecom services, the Number Portability technology is becoming more and more concerned by many countries. Number Portability is that the customers can change the operator while their mobile number donot need to change. Number Portability can enchance the operators competition, it can encourage the operator improve their service, and it can optimize the telecom market.First, the background and current development state at home and abroad of the Number Portability Technology are introduced, and the importance and feasibility of the Number Portability are also talked in the thesis. Second, the network architecture of the Number Portability is analyzed, including the element function of the core network and the way to access the database and the building requirement of the network are discussed in this thesis. This thesis is based on the Number Portability project of the JiangXi Telecom Corporation, and the current situation of the JiangXi Telecom Corporation. This thesis is base on the primary principle of the Number Portability technology, and the renovate scheme of the Core network and the service network of the JiangXi Telecom Corporation are designed in this thesis, the primary work of the Core network include building the Number Portability Home Location Register, and the element of the CDMA network are updated, including the T/G/MSCe and HLRe network element. The the setting of the signaling link of the interrelated device are also updated. The primary work of the service network is including updating the IMSP platform and the message center of the link gateway and the multimedia message center and the ISAG platform and the integrative IVPN platform. Finally, the testing scheme of the Number Portability system of JiangXi Telecom Corporation is designed in this thesis, the testing result show that the Number Portability system designed in this thesis can realize the number portability.
