With the development of wireless communication technology, the radio signal spectrum resources become increasingly scarce,the radio spectrum monitoring and management is becoming more and more demanding. Developing digital monitoring receiver for radio spectrum monitoring and spectrum management,can enhance the utilization of radio resource.A digital monitoring receiver is designed using the idea of hardware and software co-design based on System-on-a-Programmable-Chip(SOPC) technology. The digital receiver employs FPGA as the main control module, DDR3 SDRAM as local data storage, can complete radio signal collection, digital down converter, the local storage, and data upload. This dissertation mainly has the following several aspects work:Firstly, this dissertation introduces the development of digital monitoring receiver, then introduces the basic principle of digital receiver, then analyzes the monitoring receiver architecture and function of the receiver system, discusses the scheme of the digital signal processing. The embedded control software based on SOPC technology is employed as the system control scheme.Secondly, the design and implementation of digital processing module is discussed, the FPGA platform and the overall scheme is determined based on the discussion. The design of each function sub-module including parameter control interface and local data storage module is discussed in detail. Linux operation system is transported on the microprocessor IP. Moreover, the driver of related IP is designed and the application for receiver system is designed, too.Finally, the module testing and the integration testing are carried out on the receiver system. The final test results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the design.
