Semiconductor industry include market research, R&D, manufacture and application design. The semiconductor manufacture is capital intensive, technology intensive and labor intensive segment. The produce process is separated to two type of factories wafer fabrication and assembly test. How to improve semiconductor manufacture operation efficiency became most important tasks for the management team. It’s one of the most effective ways which is to improve information system efficiency to help operation efficiency improvement.IN company come from US and owned by foreign investor, has around 3000 employees. It’s belong INT company global manufacture group. The manufacture group has around 30000 employees in global, separate to wafer fabrication, assembly and test factory segment. Wafer fabrication factory major business is made huge circuit in the silicon chips. The finished wafer is look like a 12 inch compact disc. Assembly and test factory will separate each of die from the disc wafer, attach it on substrate, fixed it with epoxy and install heat sink. After pass class test and platform test, it will be separated to different type of product.IN company organization structure include Planning, Purchase, Logistic, Industrial engineering, Manufacture, Equipment, Process, Quality engineering, Product engineering, New product introduce, Training, Human resource, Facility, Finance, IT department. Each department not only has clear role and responsibility, but also need collaborate together for most of tasks. Hence caused the collaboration is not smoothly, such as some small things need call a meeting and invite multiple department represent join to discuss it in several times. How to improve the efficiency of internal operation, and reduce the resource wasting became a significant problem. This thesis provided solution to resolve this kind of problem through information system.This thesis research object is IN company information system strategy planning. Firstly, using Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model, SWOT method to analyze internal and external environment, and find out the IN company strategy. Secondly, summarize the current information system capability and function, compare with other factory information system and find out the different. Thirdly, using Strategic target Set Transfer SST, Critical Success Factor CSF and Business System Planning BSP to find out IN company object of information structure, requirement of information system, definition of sub system. Finally, work out overall planning of IN company information system according to the actually situation, work out several most important sub system structure and related business process optimization.The result of this thesis is that planning employee work out overall production schedule and then can instruct Purchase, Manufacture, Engineering, Logistic department employee to implement the production related jobs. Other department employee no need make decision for production tasks, only need to implement the tasks from the information system instruction. The decision is auto made by the information system through DSS and AI function enabled. Then reduce the internal conflict and increase the working efficiency, increase customer and employee satisfaction, eventually increase IN company market value.
