With the power electronic power devices has been widely used in various electronic devices. IGBT has been widely used in various high-power switching applications,which is a switching devices that voltage control, resistance to high pressure, high input impedance, low output impedance, high switching frequency. As a high-power IGBT device, it needs a stable driving circuit for switch control. A driving circuit is intermediate connecting bridge between control signal and power circuits, so it is crucial design a safe and reliable, economical and practical driver module.This paper designed and finished a driving module based on the requirement of gradient amplifier.The driving module have enough powr amplification ability,can also achive high voltage isolation and have complete protection circuit.Designs include the following:1.This paper analyzes the internal structure of IGBT and discusses the IGBT characteristics of the opening process and turn-off process. Detailed analysis of the failure reasons in the IGBT process have made, including overvoltage, overcurrent,overheating failures and other factors, and then presented the key factor and the overall frame structure for the IGBT drive module.2.The main circuit of drive module is designed.In order to achieve signal interlocking and fault detection,this drive circuits have input interface circuit; Using pulse transformer isolation means to achieve electrical isolation between drive signal and power circuits; Dead-time generation circuit is designed to avoid open bridge wall straight up and down at the same time,because of wrong control signal;To provide a function of power amplifier, a gate drive circuit is designed; In order to reduce the voltage peak,the protection circuits is designed,To avoid unusual situation,this paper designers clamp circuits, overcurrent and overheat protection circuit.In this way,the circuits ensure safe and reliable power tube operation.3.IGBT work as several hundreds of bus voltage, fault circuit operation may affect the stability of the drive module, so we design a separate isolated DC-DC power supply,using UC3842 as a control chip. single-ended flyback circuit is chosen. power supply have three kinds of voltage, they are 15 V,negative 15 V and 5V, Optocoupler isolation is chosen in order to achieve a feedback control, in this way, This power constitutes acomplete closed-loop system4.Using PSPICE software to simulation for the various parts of the circuit, the circuit parameters are optimized based on the simulation results.5.Finally, the self-designed driver module circuit has been actual testing by PCB plate, and the performance test of the whole module has been made. and then the test data and test results are given.
