Build And Test Network Teaching Platform Jin Cheng College Of Si Chuan University

In the era of globalization and informationization, online courses, as an important assistant means of teaching, finds an increasingly broad use in higher education in China. However, due to some limits and restrictions, the internet resources have not been fully utilized in our multimedia classrooms. As a result, the so-called teacher-centered teaching method is still the mainstream at many colleges and universities. This unwelcome situation requires us to make changes. Therefore, the design and development of network teaching platform is bound to become an integrated part of the teaching projects of Jincheng College of Sichuan University. Considering the inner connections among all the teaching factors, this paper focuses on designing and establishing a practical network teaching platform to cultivate students’ independent learning abilities. This paper will effectively help improve network teaching on campus.At first, we analyzed the current situation of domestic and foreign construction system of network teaching management. In order to improve the network teaching environment interaction, we put forward the concept of learning and communication module, and decided to design a Web network teaching platform. Secondly, we compared and analyzed several technical platforms for the system. With those analyses, we choose the cross platform technology of J2 EE, which could solve the compatibility about software running on Windows 95/NT, Windows XP/Unix/ Linux and the interactivity of the shared environment between teachers, students and administrative personnel. At last, we researched the redundancy and convenience that based on the traditional C/S mode teaching client platform. For meeting these requirements, we proposed show the system functional requirements by Case-diagram. And we selected the mode which combines with JSF + EJB 3.0 + MYSQL technology in our platform. The purpose of two measures is to simplify the system structure design and enhance the client’s flexibility. At the same time this technology effectively solves and realizes the online teaching platform of sharing resources, application projects and project team management, and other functions. Finally, through the above study, related tests have been successfully carried out. And this paper classifies and systematizes teaching resources, helping make an integrated network teaching resource database and providing convenient and efficient information for preparing lessons. In the meantime, this project is exerting an effort to provide not only grading and appraisal help for teachers but also references for students. This paper also has got a realistic significance for teams’ application for research.
