This topic research comes from the managing requirement of Wuhu Glory MV. Wuhu Glory MV is R&D type high-tech enterprise. The most typical characteristic of the company is to provide the personalized needs of products for their customer. Main application fields of these products are medical, industrial computed tomography(CT), nondestructive flaw detection, defense electronics, radiation and other scientific research fields. From the usage of existing customers, the ordering products of the most customers are various with few quantities, although there has ERP K3 system software, but because of the imperfection of the system function which leads to the inventory of the raw materials become more and more and the amount of the funds are occupied, bring a lot of inconvenience to the management and the company operation. Therefore, it hopes to reduce the inventory or even achieve to zero inventory by the secondary development of the existing ERP K3 system and the improvement of the warehouse management and purchasing management.This topic mainly uses Microsoft Visual Basic(VB) which is the most simple and most rapidly development tools under Windows Operating System, and SQL Server database which is safe, reliable and efficient at enterprise data management and business intelligence application for joint development. During the system development, a large number of detailed investigations are implemented to the current status of the inventory management at abroad and home. By combining the production and business operation characteristics of the R&D type high-tech enterprise, gets the system developing content and target. Then fully combed the system design requirements and functional requirements conclude the inventory management which with four function modules as the main body. By building the database architecture according to the relevant technical conditions, complete the concept design, logical design and physical design. Concept design part uses the database concept of e-r model design method, which is carried out on the actual business process entities in the abstract and intuitive expression; Logic design part mainly converts to the specific data model which can be supported by SQL Server database through concept design part; Physical design part mainly explains the system on hardware equipment storage structure and access methods; Application development and debugging of system introduces the main part of the working interface and the running program, through the detailed system test to achieve the goal of each function module.The advantage of this designing system is: based on the original system, increase production line hardware configuration and the access to each position to make the system detect the material using dynamic production line in time, by collecting, organizing the information and the classified calculation, it makes the actual demand and the usage of the warehouse storage materials can be shared and checked online, it can also evaluate and adjust the purchasing plan which is caused from the material requirement by these data. On the other hand, the production plan administrator can check the warehouse material storage and flexibly adjust the production plan. This enhance the connectivity of all material information, gets the much unified management and efficient utilization.
