With the development of science&technology and the gradual increase of economic level in China,automobiles have entered people's daily life,and there are more and more 4S shops and automobile service shops.In the face of increasingly severe market competition,automobile service merchants have to adjust and introduce more excellent services and management modes so as to boost the competitiveness.Because inventory management is an extremely important link for merchants,every merchant starts to research the inventory management system of automobile supplies and keep implementing inventory management,thus increasing the sales.The thesis designs and achieves the inventory management system of automobile supplies,which includes functions of purchase control,sales management,inventory management,information query,basic information,system maintenance and system login.This system helps merchants realize precise control and management of inventories by virtue of informatization technology,accurately get hold of the occupation situation of their capital and ensure the seasonable inventory.Meanwhile,the system provides such functions as product file maintenance,facilitating merchants' managing and analyzing products and viewing sales situation,etc.On this basis,merchants can formulate purchase plans to ensure their formal sales.The implementation of the system enables the standardized administration,quick query,scientific statistics of merchants' inventories,reduces the work load in terms of management,and,at the same time,plays a significant role in motivating shop clerks,enthusiasm and increasing economic benefits.This thesis adopts standard process of software engineering and mainly completes requirement analysis,overall design,detailed design,implementation,testing and other work of the inventory management system of automobile supplies.The system is programmed by using Java language and SQL Server database,whose characteristics are convenient management and development.The whole system adopts mature C/S structure design.At present,the system is in operation in real automobile supplies shops.Currently,it is in good condition,all data of which are satisfactory.However,it still needs to be optimized.Cooperation of upper stream suppliers should be enhanced so as to perfect the system functions,making it more humanized during operation.
