As wireless communication technology, especially satellite communication technology developing so fast, people start to claim some requirements about antenna. For example, they need Local Positioning System(LPS) and wireless sensor networks with compact-size and high-directivity. The classical Yagi-Uda antenna meets these requirements, but the whole antenna scale would become very huge, because of adopting a great amount of direction device and sacrificing the space between director units for achieving high gain effect. Secondly, some communication devices require resonance effect from antenna of Dual or Multi bands. Multi-layer micro-strip Yagi-Uda antenna brings a very good solving thought to miniaturization of high gain effect, dual or even multi-bands, and improving Front Back Ratio(F/B), etc.This paper mainly claims two unsolved and uncompleted problems of current multi-layer micro-strip Yagi antenna, based on the analyzing and summarizing about the micro-strip Yagi antenna study condition: 1. How to summarize the designing methods of multi-layer micro-strip Yagi antenna; 2. How to study multi-layer micro-strip Yagi antenna.Referring to these two questions, this paper did the study and design of multi-layer micro-strip Yagi antenna, discussing the antenna electronic performance effected by physical parameter of each constructive units; and studied that micro-strip antenna achieving multi-band performance, it is the first attempt for this antenna producing tri-band effect.The main creative ideas and work of this paper are as following four aspects.1. According to the current domestic and global study movements of micro-strip Yagi antenna, this paper claims two questions which need to be solved.2. Then brings basic theories and analyzing methods of micro-strip and Yagi which will be used in this paper.3. For the first question, discussing that the antenna electronic performance effected by the physical parameter of floor and three main constructive units, summarizing the designing methods and processes of multi-layer micro-strip Yagi antenna.4. For the second question, discussing the multi-band micro-strip techniques which are not referred in domestic and global research, claiming creative design which is different from traditional Yagi antenna and normal micro-strip Yagi antenna, simulation verifying the designing programs of low-end dual-band, high-end dual-band, tri-band multi-lower micro-strip Yagi antenna, Making dual-band and tri-band micro-strip Yagi antenna, which achieved the anticipation in the tests. It is the first time to rely respectively on director unit, activator unit and reflector unit, producing high, middle and low band antenna. It provides a brand new thought to the design applying to multi-band antenna of Beidou Navigation System second generation.
