Design And Implementation Of Authentication And Accounting System For Campus Network

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the cost of access to Internet is decreased. There is a transition of campus network from the previous single research to current integrated multi-functions. This function is more close to that in big enterprise. it also has high efficiency: the high network utilization and high customer requirement for network applications. So the campus network’s management should be enhanced to match this requirement. ‘The Campus Network’s Certification and Charging System’ is to satisfy this requirement.This system can detect network, control several network operation, and record the network resource cost and so on. The purpose of this system is to control whole campus network effectively. This thesis based on the actual campus network construction for ‘Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Posts and Telecommunications’,using IEEE802.1X protocol and related technologies, finishes many key functions :access customer identity certification, authorization, cost count and so on.This thesis starts from the requirement analysis of the campus network authentication and accounting system, describes the current status of research and analyzes the design objectives and design principles for the whole system according to the current problems and the basic situation of Sichuan Post and Telecommunication College. Then, provides the design patterns and the overall framework of authentication and accounting system, and design the function model. Meanwhile, this thesis finishes database design of authentication and accounting system,completes the system service configuration for both hardware and software. The authentication and accounting system and web management system uses VS as the development platform, C # as the programming language,asp.net as the web development tools,SQLserver2008 as the database, it describes the design method, details steps for each model. All the code for procedure and database can be found in this thesis. Besides these, the thesis does research for client part design. In the end, the thesis finishes system test using different test methods to make sure the system has correct function, good performance and high security and can be used in real environment.The development and implementation for this system solves many previous problems. It utilizes current resource in Sichuan Post and Telecommunication College and provides a nice environment for all teachers and students. It has a good application value.
