Agriculture plays a vitally important role in China’s stability of economy and social development, and it is a fundamental part of other industries development. How to maintain healthy, rapid, and steady development of China’s agriculture and increase farmers’incomes is worth long-term researches. It is clearly pointed out that it is an extremely important part for the whole party to solve the problems of agriculture, farmers, and country in the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The Chinese government should take effective policies and measures to guarantee the farmers to share information achievements.China’s agriculture development lags behind some developed countries. On one hand China lacks advanced agricultural productivity tools and techniques. On the other hand the farmers, suppliers and clients lack an authoritative, unified platform to exchange agricultural information. Consequently, it is difficult to provide real-time updates for the market dynamics, and to attain agriculture information in time for the users. This paper designs and implements an agricultural products information exchange platform based on the structure of B/S using Visual Studio 2010, C#, SQL Server 2008. The platform consists of two systems:the web portal and the user communication center. The web portal aims at distributing latest market dynamics and news, exhibiting agricultural products, and managing demand and supply information of suppliers and clients. The user communication center provides a platform for information exchange and implements management of users and groups, management of modules and posts, management of friends and messages.The agricultural products information exchange platform makes the users know more about growing conditions, habitus of some crops. And it promotes information exchange between suppliers and clients, thus accelerating information flow and trades of agriculture market. Combining this agricultural products information exchange platform with other agriculture systems such as the production control system can improve development of China’s agricultural informationization.
