From the perspective of the hardware for information transmission, a recognizeddifficulty for agricultural informatization is the “last mile” in the process. Services directlyprovided on the site of agricultural production will be a powerful guarantee for theimprovement of the efficiency and accuracy of agricultural service. Agricultural microblogbased on mobile networks provides a convenient solution to the problem.Information in the process of agricultural production can be exchanged effectivelythrough microblog, which is a novel communication channel. According to the actualdemand of agricultural production, the agricultural microblog system consists of fivemodules, namely, logging in, microblog lobby, agricultural information, messages andmaintenance of personal portfolio. The module of logging in verifies users’ identity,protects their privacy, and provides individualized information for them. The module ofmicroblog lobby allows users to browse the content of agricultural microblogs and ensuresthe communication between users and experts. The module of agricultural informationprovides users with such information as notices, service stations, expert data, agriculturaltechnology, price and weather. The module of message allows users to browse commentsfor their microblogs and microblogs related to them. Finally, the module of maintenance ofpersonal portfolio allows users to modify their personal information.A series of technologies are used in the system to cater to the environment ofagricultural production. To begin with, cache mechanism is adopted to guarantee the normalbrowse of microblogs even when the network signal is weak. Also, the algorithm of imagezooming is used to reduce the consumption of mobile network flow as well as the timedelay of the uploading of images. Still, The optimization of access to the database helpsusers to obtain information efficiently. Furthermore, automatic updating of client softwarecan make sure users can have access to new editions and new functions timely. Finally,packaging technology is applied in the process of data transmission to guarantee theaccurate transmission of data.The function of agricultural microblog based on mobile networks is verified throughthe actual deployment of the system. The deployment, application and test of the systemshow that users can log in within one second, post a message containing images withinthree seconds, and obtain the microblog content within three seconds with preferabledisplay effect.
