| GPRS technology has been widely used in centralized meter reading and other areas of the information transmission. But the wide range of distribution network and complex topological structure cause lots of blind spots in centralized meter reading system in remote areas. In order to improve the communication reliability of centralized meter reading system and enlarge the coverage of communication, the interconnection of the Medium voltage power line carrier communication and GPRS is very necessary.Firstly, the characteristics of power line carrier communication and GPRS technology was analyzed and the PLC system based on OFDM was simulated. Then the whole technology solutions for the interconnection of the Medium voltage power line carrier communication and GPRS was put forward. The interconnection system includes two parts, sub-station terminal unit and host-station communication unit. Sub-station terminal unit collects the electricity information of distribution transformers and transmits it to the host-station communication unit via the 10 k V medium voltage power line communication. Host-station communication unit achieves the management of sub-station terminal unit through medium voltage power line carrier communication, concentrates the collected information and uploads to the marketing center via the GPRS communication.Secondly, sub-station terminal unit and host-station communication unit were designed based on the carrier chip SM2200, ARM chip LPC2138 and GPRS module MD-609 G.The chip SM2200 uses OFDM modulation and demodulation technology to improve the reliability of the medium voltage power line communication effectively.Finally, the software was designed. The design and analysis for communication protocol, methods and process of communication host-station configuration, sending and receiving of data, workflow of the control system are completed. The whole system was tested and the running effect is good and reliable. |
