With the development of communication technology, the power lines carrier- current communication method appeared. A narrow-band communication method based on FSK is proposed in this paper, and a bi-computer communication system was developed based on this method. The anti-noise and anti-attenuation characteristics of FSK make the communication perform successfully. The power lines are a hostile environment for carrier signals. The interference and attenuation characteristics of power line model are researched, and then a measurement method for power lines?attenuation characteristics is proposed. Several methods for overcoming the attenuation and interference factors and the anti-noise characteristics of FSK are discussed briefly. The paper emphasizes the development of Power Line Carrier-current Communication Controller. By deeply research on power supply circuits, the interface circuits between MCS and PC, the data storage circuits based on SPI bus, modem circuits and power lines coupling circuits, a practical carrier-current communication controller is produced. The ICO, modulator, transmitter, PLL, time-domain filter in the modem are also deeply discussed. The calculation methods for the selection of components in the modem circuits and power line coupling circuits are expatiated particularly. On the bases of CUBus, a practical communication protocol, which is very convenient and flexible, is developed. The CRC method makes communication more reliable. The data storage program is accomplished based on the SPI bus standard. The experimental results show that the communication method works well and has good performance. |
