Wireless communication network originated from the military, is widely used in themilitary field. Faced with modern War,for combat mode change,Perception of air battlefieldsituation determine s the success or failure of the war. Wireless transmission communicationnetwork with its unique advantages can meet the combat power " Knowing both One's Ownand Other's Situations " requirements, and meet the military requirements in a variety ofoccasions, eg: the real-time access to information, accuracy, comprehensiveness, and so on.ZigBee technology with its low-cost, low power and many other advantages, is applied to setup wireless communication network .For example: ZigBee applications in military logistics,IFF wireless networks, wireless sensor networks and other aspects of distributed applicationsbattlefield. Typical idea is to use aircraft to a large number of micro-sensor nodes scattered inthe vast battlefield area, the nodes from the network Structure ad hoc networks, collectinformation of the battlefield , transmit and fuse information. provide "one's needsinformation " service for all war units.This thesis begins with analyzing and summarizing the universality and necessity ,whichwireless sensor network Applied in the military, compared to several existing wireless localarea network communication protocols, ZigBee technology as a selected one ,it meets thespecial requirements of wireless communication network, and has many advantages .Study onthe ZigBee protocol , proposes scheme which is the Research of short distance wirelesscommunication technology based on ZigBee .Second, complete wireless communication network hardware overall design based onZigBee, including the coordinator equipment and the end point equipment. Mastering the coretechnology in both devices and central control chip (CC2430), achieve the connection ofhardware components to do a very good preparation for software programmed. Then, in the software for the wireless network, design functional requirements of twonodes: the coordinator node establish the network and the end point add in the network;compile binding program between the coordinator and the end point, meeting the IEEE802.15.4 wireless transmission protocol .Finally, the performance of ZigBee network is tested and analyzed in a star network anda tree network topology platform. That obtains more satisfactory results.
