Smart Grid is the future direction of power grids, which combines the latest information technology, communication technology and computer control technology with the existing power transmission and distribution infrastructure. Smart Grid is a new type of power grids which realizes the intelligentizement the electric power systems. Communications technology is the cornerstone of the smart grid. In particular, the wireless communication technology with its unique advantages has played an important role in the intelligent power distribution network construction. This paper mainly studies a proper fusion of the advanced 4G mobile communication technology and the power authorized 230MHz bands, thus helps to build the intelligent power distribution communication network. The efforts can not only provide new communication solutions for intelligent power distribution business, but also promote the development of the Smart Grid.This paper uses the power communication network of Northern Hebei Dachang as the basic model, and proposes technology implementations of the construction of TD-LTE 230 Power Wireless Network system based on 230MHz band by analyzing the intelligent power distribution business of State Grid. The establishment of the mobile broadband communication system which is combined with a core network equipment, four base stations and 970 terminals, has achieved the coverage of Power Wireless Private Network in 176 square kilometers of the county. The mobile broadband communication system has carried the electricity information collection, distribution automation and other business. The study of this paper has identified the bandwidth requirements of power business. This paper has also studied the model of TD-LTE 230MHz Power Wireless Private Network system which carries electricity business, the frequency, the band, the network mode, the network architecture, the network security and reliability and the coverage capability under the complex grid environment of TD-LTE 230 MHz Power Wireless Private Network system.Finally, the application effects of TD-LTE 230MHz Power Wireless Private Network system have been evaluated and tested. The results of the evaluation and testing have laid the foundation of the further applications in the power system, and provided effective supports for the development of Smart Grid.
