In recent years, with the rapid development of computer and internet technology, knowledge and equipment upgrade faster and faster. Traditional mechanical manufacturing industry was greatly impacted. With the impulse of the wave of information technology, many large-middle sized manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad, actively explore new design and development patterns and resources share mechanism. They make great efforts to promote the development of manufacturing IOT system supporting product lifecycle. Detection system is an important part of the manufacturing IOT system. In this paper, automation online cloud detection system is the quality assurance unit of the manufacturing IOT system.Our research is based on the motor cover automated production line. In this paper, we analyzed the constituent units of automation online cloud detection system, and expand our research in three dimensions- device, terminal and server.In device dimensions, we studied the electrical control system of motor cover automated measurement platform. We analyzed three possible implementations, and developed an automatic control system of the motor cover measurement platform, which is independent of control core of the production line.In terminal dimensions, we studied MFC software development technology, designed and developed the IPC monitoring software. We encapsulated the drawing control applying to draw SPC/MSA control charts. To communicate with the hardware, we studied Mitsubishi FX PLC dedicated computer link protocol, Modbus data communication protocol of remote I/O modules and Marposs Driver Library, and developed the IPC monitoring software able to control the production line and the measurement platform. In addition, in order to transfer monitoring data and file over the network, we also studied Windows network communication technology by TCP sockets and file transfer protocol.In server dimensions, we studied development technology of SQL Server database and multi-threaded server. For creating the cloud detection database, we studied design guidelines of relational database and designed cloud detection database based on detection parameters. We created data tables, constraints and triggers, designed and created stored procedures to process server queries. On the other hand, we studied ADO database access technology, multi-threaded development technology and socket communications technology in Windows development environment and developed a cloud detection server program with multi-tasking capabilities.Finally, we conducted automation monitoring tests in the shop floor and monitored various processing defects caused by cutting tool chipping, defective parts or chips in production process. It contributed to improve the process parameters of the production line.
