Study On Diversified Development In Community Library

Economic development, what let people’s material needs of life continue to be met,highlights the demands of people’s spiritual and cultural life, at the same time,provides the material basis for the cultural development. Against this background, the great and prosperity cultural development, public library cause continues to be improve. With the continuously process of urbanization(the urban population break50% in 2011 for the first time), public culture service system construction has made a considerable progress. In this economic and cultural background, the development of grassroots public cultural cause gets more and more attention. As an important part of the grassroots public library, community library welcome a good opportunity for development.The text divided into four big parts,six chapters. The first part contains chapter one,is an introduction for the whole text, to explain the background and significance,introduce the current research at home and abroad, explain the research methods,research ideas and research innovations. The second part contains chapter two, is the outline part, an overview about the diversified development of community library,including its scientific definitions, objective requirement ideas and meanings. The third part contains chapter three to six, is the main part of the text, describing the development of community library separately. With the standard of investment diversification, the diversified development of community library is divided into unitary public libraries, private organizations supporting publicly-run libraries, unitary private libraries, and public organizations supporting private libraries. Expound the development of each type of community library from four dimensions in detail, the reality condition, development model, problems and solutions. The fourth part is the conclusion, summarizes the diversified development paths of community libraries,that community libraries should choose the right development model based on the actual situation.The text describes four types of community libraries mainly:(1) The building of unitary public library totally depends on government financial investment and it has a unique advantage of the policy support, however, the administrative management system becomes its the biggest constraint. Its development model can be divided into central-branch library system, joint library management, independent model of library.(2) The private organizations supporting publicly-run library considered to be the bestway to develop the community library by most researchers, introducing the civil force to participate in library construction appropriately, broadening the source funding,however, operation mechanism is not yet developed and the civil force’s inadequate participation seem to the main inadequacies etc. Its development model can be divided into book bank system, volunteer service system, government-enterprise cooperation system.(3) The unitary private libraries totally depends on non-government financial investment,to make up for the absence of government action, however, there are many funding problems. Its development model can be divided into individual house mode, private profit sharing mode and public organizational model.(4) The public organizations supporting private libraries is a useful attempt in economically deprived areas, depending on private, public secondary.However government aid system problem is noteworthy. Its development model can be divided into community bookstore mode, Jian Hua public mode and privileged alliance mode.
