A Research On Online Entity Library

Over the years, promotion of social reading and forming strong nationwide reading atmosphere, is an important part of China’s social and cultural construction. To promote social reading, in addition to the public library, there are a number of social enterprises on behalf of the civil power to participate in them, the latest model in social enterprises which participating in the social reading promotion is the "online entity library".Online entity library is a kind of local produce in China to promote physical paper reading as the mode of the Internet economy. It not only inherits the mode of public library to borrow print books, also opened up online orders, and logistics access channel of borrowing and returning books. It greatly improves the convenience of the reader to realize the social reading. This article respectively analyzes the online entity library from the titles, meaning, significance, current state, present problems and future directions of development. In this paper, it first used the concept of "online entity library", and compared with the previous title to distinguish, and then proposes using this concept to more accurately. In addition, this article comparatively analyze several libraries which representative in its industry from the current status, characteristic and problems. Research in this paper will make up for previous studies only the "points" not the wider research. Finally, the paper pointed out the direction for future development of the online library entities that which needs its own growing joint combined with seeking outside support, improve the existing model combined with expanding profit channel, etc. In a word, to survive, then to carry out more reading promotion.
