With the development of society people pay more and more attention to food hygiene problems,food safety and inspection are also increasingly important.Total number of colonies is one of the important items of food testing, is also one of thecommonly used food security indicators. The reliability of evaluations is depended on theaccuracy and the credibility of the testing result. Mainstream colony number detection method isthe plate culture method, but this kind of method is time-consuming, not convenient to carry,high cost, so it has the certain limitation.This design uses the colony number rapid detection system based onATP bioluminescence, ableto quickly detect the total number of colonies. This system mainly using ATP is proportional tothe number of bacteria in the principle, and calculate the total number of colonies in the food.The system is widely used, short measurement time, high precision, simple operation, etc.This paper mainly describes the development situation and domestic development course ofATP bioluminescence detection system, design structure and hardware, system softwaredebugging process. Arapid detecting instrument of bacteria was presented based on the principleofATP bioluminescence. In the instrument a high—precisionA/D converter and a smallPhotomultiplier Tube(PMT)module were included to improve the optical detection sensitivity,and the optical, circuit and software designs were integrated to construct the rapid detectingsystem for bacteria combinated with homemadeATP bioluminescence biosensors, to simplifythe circuit and save resources.At present, many products are in improving the accuracy of detection, and high requirementsfor bacterial detection technology. With the development of science and technology, ATPbioluminescence detection system will be more humane, easy to carry, easy to operate, the costof application will be reduced. This system also needs to improve its accuracy and the future ofthis kind of detection technology will become a part of social life. This design has great application prospect.
