With the development of animation technology, the emergence of 3D animation has become a new kind of animation category. Its utilization of knowledge in computer science, art, mathematics, and so generate other disciplines combined. 3D animation has a stronger sense of depth and realism of space, along with the development of technology and people’s increasing appreciation of the level of quality in order to meet people’s pursuit of animation. The rapid development of computer science and sensor technology, the emergence of motion capture technology fits the needs of animators. At the same time motion capture technology has animation, game design, motion analysis,dance collection, virtual reality technology has been widely applied.The subject comes from the use of motion capture device, application and analysis of research on the human body through the movement of data collection combined with 3D animation software. The motion capture technology used in 3D animation, can greatly improve the level of animation, animation production efficiency and reduce costs, and make the animation process more intuitive, more vivid effect. With further mature technology, performance animation technology will be more widely used, and motion capture technology as a high-quality 3D animation indispensable, the most critical part.This has important implications for the future development of 3D animation.The first part of this article mainly for the statement of the topic source, research background and significance and leads to the main research contents of this article. The second part introduces the development history of the beginning animation and introduced the combination of animation and motion capture, and finally describes the motion capture the applications and effects. The third part is to study the motion law of character animation. The fourth part introduces the actual use of motion capture data acquisition instrument on the law of motion. The fifth part is combined by motion data acquisition and motion law of comparison analysis.
