The performance of control system in industrial process will deteriorate under the change of external environment and aging of actuators and equipments, therefore, the timing evaluation for control system is nessecary. At present, minimum variance method(MV), generalized minimum variance method(GMV) and convariance datum method(CD) are widly applied in evaluation, meantime the meaning of traditional performance index can’t be ignored too. The paper uses MV method binding traditional performance index method to evaluate control systems, and analyse dynamic performance and static performance of them.whether the performance is good is closely related to control parameters, the paper takes Z-N method, imc tuning and PSO method for example to set control parameters of inertial systems with delay, and obtain evaluation reference based on traditional performance index, in simulation example, we can obtain the relationship between control performance and tuning parameters. The key on implementation of minimum variance is model recognition, model discretization and ARMA model fitting, through simulation example, we find that the performances of MV index and traditional index are not identical under different parameters, which can provide basis for control parameters tuning.Meanwhile, the advantagements of inspired simulator become more significant in parameter debugging and optimization of control strategy, and simulator can realize conditions recurrence and historical data storage. We take one 1000 MW simulator system as basis, make step disturbance of spraying water to superheated steam temperature system under different loads, and identify the generalized model by PSO method of system to simplify the cascade system. Under the foundation, the paper evaluates superheated steam temperature in 75% load and 90% load, in conclusion that the performance in 75% load is better than that in 90% load, which needs further setting.
