Control loop performance assessment is a important research task in industry, the practices indicated: controller performance assessment can improve performance of process effectively.In recent years, high level of control loop performance required promoted the study of controller performance assessment.This paper is base on the minimum variance control performance assessment method which was proposed by Harris and proposed a time sequence analysis technology based on adaptive filter.During performance assessment, bulid the AR model between system output and the noise and train the model to adjust the network coefficient value to make the network output can track the system input, then realized the controller performance assessment.There are two main methods in control loop performance assessment: traditional method and random method.This paper discussed the two kinds performance indeies of single loop control system, cascade control system , feedforward-feedback control system and using MATLAB/SIMULINK to make some simulation research of single and cascade control systems.In the end of the paper, take this kind of performance assessment technique to the industry control system, analysis the controller performance in DMF recovery system, the result indicated, self-adapt filter technique have practical significant in model identification, it will be a easy and effective method in the development of controller performance assessment software in industry.
