Research On Optimization Of Urban Video Surveillance System

With the deepening of information technology, urban video surveillance system has been vigorously developed. Cities across the country have established their city video surveillance system,which is used for the city’s comprehensive management and the fight against crime, and achieved remarkable social effects. But in the construction and use of video surveillance network, some problems are exposed, such as the waste caused by too close monitoring distribution, irrational layout and omissions resulting corner and unshared resources and so on. Therefore, there is obviously a need for researching optimization of video surveillance for the limited resources, improving the efficiency of resource utilization.This dissertation started from studying on the development history of the video surveillance system, and introduced the present development status of the city’s video monitoring system and the related theory, then pointed out the problems in the development and utilization of the city’s video surveillance system, and then created a resource evaluation of urban video surveillance utility indicators in order to measure the utilization of video surveillance resources to explore and further optimize the development and construction, and integrate the method of the existed video surveillance resources.Finally, based on the actual case of the layout of Yichang City Video Surveillance, the dissertation verified the proposed method, put forward a sound proposal for Yichang city’s video surveillance system construction and layout. The dissertation combined sttandardization research of theory with practical case studies, achieving mutual promoting development of theory and practice.
