| The fast development of computer technologies gives huge innovation in video surveillance system. Digital image surveillance system has more advantages than traditional analog video monitoring system in video quality and application functions.In this paper, we design a system of video surveillance suit for special requirements based on many signal resources, complex transmitting mode and many other difficulties. This design has been applied in practical work.Chapter 1 generally discusses the developing of video surveillance, describing the system characteristics, the applications of the video surveillance system, and introducing background and goal of the research.Chapter 2 generally introduces the main conception of video capture and compression algorithm, and comparing MPEG-4 with MPEG-2 and H.264 that are usually used in video compression.Chapter 3 focuses on the core part of this paper ---the design of digital video surveillance system. Not only has produced the overall plan, but also has carried on the details of the system composition.Chapter 4 describes the long-distance video signal transmitting making use of the public network. The design, fully taking advantage of the ADSL, constituted the practical video transmitting system. It has satisfied the nimble surveillance demand in the practical work.Finally we also has discussed the system security problems. |
