With economic development and the scope and extent of human activities expanding, the phenomenon of vandalism occurs frequently. Conservation becomes a prominent problem to which more and more people and the heritage management management department pay special attention. GIS is developing rapidly all over the world these days. With the further development of China’s cultural relic information technology, the use of new technologies to improve conservation management of information technology has become very urgent. Establish heritage management system based on GIS, and restore the heritage of its historical time and space to get the correct interpretation. We can manage the cultural relic effectively at last. As a result, it can promote museum scientific research, and the development of quality education so as to further enhance China’s cultural relic protection level.Based on the background above, the third national census data immovable cultural relic of analyzing and sorting of Henan Province and the collection of cultural relic data from Henan Museum.This passage talks about the depth function of the system objectives and technical architecture, using GeoServer, Openlayers respectively, as GIS server and client to PostgreSQL/PostGIS spatial database established GIS to ASP.NET for Web Platform, Oracle database as Web background, building a lightweight WebGIS based heritage management system to achieve the function of the target system.The main contributions of this thesis are as follows:(1)Research and explore the overall architecture and the implementation of the system, analyze and compare the implementation technonogyand the platform of each module, choose the protable technology solution apply to the system.(2)Creation and storage of geospatial data. Create immovable cultural relics spatial data files, explore the method to access and store the spatial data files, and then stored them in the spatial database in accordance with the unified standard.(3) Research and implementation of Web Map Service and Tile Map Service. Research the WMS specification and the realization principle, use the open source technology to realize the Web Map Service.Discuss the principle and key technology, and realize the Tile Map Service, use cache to improve system performance.(4)Spatial information integration of immovable cultural relics and their excavate places. Design the property and multimedia data storage structure of immovable cultural relics and their excavate places, bulk import to database after arranged. Providing B/S interface to link the immovable cultural relics and theirexcavate places, realize the integration of spatial information.(5) Development of the Web application and the visiualization of cultural relics. Use ASP.NET, three-layer architecture, AJAX and other technologies to build Web system, realize query, count, analysis and other functions. Displaythe cultural relics by location, property information and photographs, drawings and other multimedia forms, to demonstrate the relevant information intuitively.Currently, the system is on trial in Henan Museum,and performed well.
