Rotary machinery is the key tool of production in modern society. Becauseof mechanical structure, parts processing, installation and commissioning, maintenance and repair, machines will produce radial, axial and torsionalvibration when operating. Vibration is the main reason for the damage ofequipment, the main parameter monitoring and the main basis of fault diagnosis.Wireless sensor network technology will make up the shortage of Cabledevice. According to the specific needs of monitoring rotary machinery, thenode should have the characteristics of low cost, power consumption, small size, easy to installation. The node should have the performance of pick-up high-frequency vibrating signal. The purpose of this study is to research and design awireless sensor network node for monitoring vibration of rotary machinery. The modularized structure was used in the design of hardware systemAcquisition module used a tri-axial accelerometer ADXL345to improve thetraditional vibration signal acquisition and conditioning circuit complexity, wiring complex. In order to storage the huge amount of raw data from the sensorand to alleviate the wireless transmission pressure, node used a SD card to expand the storage space. CC2530chip was used to complete the wirelesstransmission of data that supporting ZigBee in wireless communication. And thenode used its internal enhanced integration of8051kernel as control andprocessing core, to further reduce cost and system power. The software design was based on hardware. Z-Stack was the foundation ofsoftware. C language was used to write driver and application programs. Theprotocol stack was revised and simplified to improve the software portabilityand maneuverability. Then, the driver and application programs were embeddedinto the protocol stack. In the end, Transplanting protocol to the node tocomplete the data collection, storage and wireless transmission.Wireless sensor network node for monitoring rotary machinery has beenresearched and designed to adapt for limited space, complex condition, anduncertain direction. The performance is evaluated through the experiments insignal acquisition, wireless network and data transmission. At the end of this thesis, through the analysis and summary for theresearch work, the summary lists the details to perfect and improve for the node,in order to monitoring technology is used masterly to actual production.
