With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,embedded technology, computer technology and micro electronics technologyand a series of cutting-edge technology, which makes the low energyconsumption, function strong sensor also obtained the fast development. Thesesensors have small volume, environmental awareness, data acquisition, dataprocessing, wireless communication and other characteristics, the appearance ofthese multifunctional and high performance sensor lays a good foundation forthe formation and application of sensor based network. Since the energy ofwireless sensor node is very limited, so the research of how to through thetopology control algorithm to prolong the network life cycle has become a hotresearch topic in recent years. In fact, in some delay sensitive applications, alsoneed to design the topology control algorithm which could reduce the delay ofnetwork and the corresponding routing mechanism to meet the real-time demandof wireless sensor networks.In this paper, from the perspective of network topology control, analysis ofdelay optimization in wireless sensor networks, propose a distributed delayoptimization algorithm based on topology control.The main work and innovations of this paper are as follows:1. briefly introduced the basic theory of wireless sensor networks, the keytechnologies including wireless sensor network architecture, topology control,routing protocols and technology. 2. Analysis of classical clustering routing protocol, to improve theclustering topology control mechanism, the design can realize the minimumdelay network model, and the relevant features of the model is proved.3. Structure of the network model algorithm design idea and algorithmimplementation steps is proposed.4. Using JAVA build algorithm simulation platform, the paper introducesthe simulation process of distributed delay optimization algorithm, andcompared the algorithm and centralized delay optimization algorithm andclassical algorithm of network transmission energy consumption, node life cycledeviation, network life cycle, data collection delay four indicators.The simulation results show that, the distributed delay optimizationalgorithm not only achieves the minimum delay network model, reduce thenetwork delay, and balance the network load, prolong the network life cycle.
