Safety, as a basic attribute of civil aircraft, is highly related to the safety of the aircraftand its passengers. It is also regard as one of the most important characters of aircraft. Withthe increasing complexity of modern aircraft system, and more and more unpredictable flightcondition, the safety analysis has already been regard as an essential task going through theentire aircraft development project, from concept design to design validation.During the concept design phase, safety analysis identifies the safety requirement onaircraft level; during system design phase it identifies the safety requirement in system leveland makes a preliminary system safety analysis; during the detail design and prototypingphase it helps assess the system safety and validate the safety requirement in system level andaircraft level. It is an analytical method to verify the fulfilment of the system design onpre-defined safety requirement and pre-set safety target by applying systematic analysistoolset, and furthermore, it can help identify and reduce the potential safety risk with propermitigation. The safety analysis workflow realizes the top-down identification andconfirmation as well as the bottom-up verification and validation on safety requirement. The purpose of this dissertation is to solve different kinds of problems existing in currententerprise safety analysis system by developing a digitalized safety analysis system which canbe applied to aircraft level or its subsystem level. Based on commercial safety analysissoftware platform, task-oriented process control and data management supported byestablished knowledge pool, the system, featuring in management combination, dataintegration and task collaboration enhancement, is developed to improve the currentinefficient situation in safety analysis, which was mainly caused by isolated projectmanagement and decentralized information management with the absence of safety analysissystem. This dissertation included three sections as follows:1. Define the core workflow of civil aircraft safety analysis; identify the critical task listin specific design phase; determine the requirement on system feature andperformance; ensure the system consisting of safety task management, safety designanalysis, knowledge pool maintenance, data analysis and reporting, safety related taskassignment, design analysis implementation and data query and monitor. 2. A small data analysis&management system based on Windows.Net Framework4.5Browsers and Server Architecture is applied to safety analysis in this thesis. Toimprove the expandability, flexibility and maintainability of this system, a classicthree-layer architecture consisting of data base layer, operation logic layer and userfunction layer is implemented in this system.3. A WSDL protocol based Webservice add-on is developed as an interface to integratethe third-party data source. By deploying the add-on on web servers, the different datasource can be connected and communicated through HTTP protocol. Furthermore, theinformation integration with existing PDM, P6, OA and other reliability designanalysis system is achieved. As a result, the real-time data source sharing and taskcollaboration is realized.Driven by the practical demand of safety analysis in civil aircraft design, this dissertationdesigned and implemented a process-oriented and data-driven safety analysis system based onsafety engineering theory and software engineering methodology. The system validation resultdemonstrated the feasibility of proposed solution. However, system optimization will beexpected with the increasing demand on this analysis system.
