In the business environment of the integration of world economy, the competition between users becomes more and more fierce. Enterprise management and enterprise culture is experiencing the user-centered transformation. However, as the enterprise scale getting bigger, the business becomes more and more complicated. So we need to refactor the original business process. Whether we can build a system or a tool that is centered on the customers or business personnel and making it possible for collaboration modeling and letting the process owner themselves model the required process becomes the key factor of setting up the information system for the enterprise.Process designer is such a modeling tool that gets social property. By using a unified modeling tool, it helps the enterprise set up the internal social teams and improve the business process rapidly with all the good ideas that gathered in the enterprise. It is much more convenient to combine the process management with the IT system by using the design of B/S architecture. At the same time, the designer supports BPMN which is a modeling language having an international standard. In order to make the workflow model that is represented by BPMN possible to be operated in the workflow engine, the correctness of BPMN workflow model becomes a key factor.We need to give a formal description of the BPMN model to make it easy realized by codes. Learning from the related reduction rules of Petri net, finally we give a proper approach to simplify the BPMN models and give a formal description of the reduction rules. As for the final simplified result, we can find the gateways leading to the errors in the original model and identify where the problem is. Finally we can complete the simplification for BPMN.The topic is an actual intern project. Author is responsible for the functional requirements and development in this project. After the analysis of requirements, introduce the research of BPMN simplification and the design and implementation of the process modeling designer and the solution for BPMN simplification in detail.Finally, author demonstrate the feasibility of BPMN simplification solution by a real case and prove certain value of research and application.
