Fhe Analysis Of Necessity Of The University Library To Carry Out The RSS Service

Library on the research of the RSS service has seen a boom. In recent years, many also carried out the service of university library, but on the whole, domestic colleges and universities library still exists the problem of insufficient emphasis for RSS service applications. In the research of this paper is the necessity of university library to carry out the RSS service, and puts forward some relevant thinking, hope to be able to cause libraries further attention and discussion on the application of the RSS service.This paper is divided into five parts:the first part introduces the basic elements of RSS and relevant concepts, including the definition of RSS, version evolution, how to subscribe to, function and the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages. The second part to the change of the library under the network environment as the research object, through parsing to the change of its aspects, to demonstrate the necessity of RSS service. The third part of the current library of RSS related research are reviewed. At the same time, and introduces the application situation of RSS service in university library at home and abroad. The fourth part through the form of questionnaire survey, research the Zhengzhou university teachers and students to the library to carry out the RSS service attitude, and has carried on the objective analysis to the collected data. The fifth part combining with the application of RSS service for research in recent years library literature analysis and questionnaire survey, put forward their Suggestions to some thinking and application of RSS service.
